JoAnna R
JoAnna spent their early years doodling mermaids and Daleks all over their class worksheets and taking every advanced art class offered in school. She graduated from Hofstra University with a Fine Arts and Writing Studies BFA, where they pored over elaborate illustrations and helped fellow students brainstorm and perfect essays in the Writing Center. Now she practices calligraphy with chisel-tip markers and paint when not sketching and rendering scary-cute figures in experimental outfits. Painting may appear to require elusive talent, but JoAnna knows that every achievement can be broken down into digestible steps that can empower anybody to create a masterpiece. Because art is the outward expression of inner thoughts and feelings, everyone is capable of making art that moves and inspires. This artist haunts the Long Island seaside and strives to find beauty in the unconventional.
