What is a public session?
Our public sessions typically run weeknights and weekends. You’ll use our 11×14” canvas to create your masterpiece. We post a calendar of all public events monthly and anyone is welcome to sign up. Food and drink are available for purchase at our bar. If you’d like to sign up, or view upcoming sessions, please visit our locations page, choose the location closest to you and choose a session from the calendar.
If you are looking for a more personalized event, our private events are perfect for you! You will have the option to bring in food or order from our menu, select your painting from our library, paint on our premium 16×20” canvases, choose the music and spend time with your guests while creating a masterpiece instructed by one of our talented artists. Our minimum to host a private event is 10 people, or meeting the minimum cost of 10. View more details by visiting our private party page.
How do I sign up for a public event?
Find your closest studio, choose the event you’d like to attend, and click “Book Now” to make your reservation.
Your reservation has not been finalized until you make payment, and receive a confirmation email. Make sure to check your spam or promotional folder if you do not see an email from us.
Can I request to sit with someone?
If you’re coming with others but making reservations separately, please either create or associate yourself with a group name, while making your reservation. We’ll seat you together. If you make a late reservation, or sign up in studio, we may not be able to seat you with your requested group. We cannot guarantee seat changes upon arrival.
When do you put up your full public calendar?
We typically post our event calendar around the 15th of the preceding month. So for example, we would post our August calendar around July 15th. This is to give people ample time to book private parties, but also enough time to find a session you like, book it, and tell your friends!
Can kids come to public events?
Of course – kids come with their parents, grandparents, etc, all the time and they have a blast. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Due to strict capacity limits, everyone in attendance must purchase a seat, even when accompanying a child.
If you’d like more information about our kids’ private parties, check out our kids’ party page.
What is your cancellation policy for public events?
Muse has a firm no refund policy. Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance of the event will be issued a store credit for the full amount paid, toward a make up session, that occurs within 30 days of the original reservation.
Only one reschedule is allowed per reservation, a second cancellation, even if it is within 30 days of the original reservation, will result in forfeiture of funds paid/store credit.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or failure to show will not have the option to receive a store credit or reschedule. This includes reservations that were made less than 24 hours before the start of the event.
Custom events such as Paint Your Pet will not receive a refund, store credit or the option to reschedule.
PLEASE NOTE: IF A CLASS DOES NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT RESERVATIONS, THE CLASS MAY BE CANCELLED. OR PARTICIPANTS MAY BE MOVED INTO A CLASS THAT HAS SUFFICIENT SIGN UPS.
Muse reserves the right to cancel any session due to unforeseen circumstances. All registered guests will be notified, via email, by 9PM the night prior to the event (when circumstances allow).
Reservation cost does not include food or drink and a refund or store credit will not be issued in the event other services are not available during the session (i.e. a kitchen closure).
All cancellations must be handled through our Customer Service team by emailing [email protected], or calling 888-607-6873. Please be advised, our in studio staff are unable to cancel or edit your reservation. If you have questions or concerns regarding a past reservation, please contact us within 48 hours of your reservation so we can better assist you.
What is your no show policy for public sessions?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a refund, reschedule or store credit if you miss your event. This includes reservations that were made less than 24 hours before the start of the event.
What if I am running late?
Painting begins promptly at scheduled start time, we recommend that you arrive 15 – 30 minutes prior to the session start time to get settled. If you arrive after the session start time, please note we will not be able to assist you with catching up. This may result in an incomplete painting. We do not offer a refund or a reschedule in the event that you are late for your session.
Do you serve food and/or drinks?
Yes, we have a variety of tasty bites and over 20 beers & wines for your enjoyment! Check out the full menu here.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No , we do not allow outside food or drinks in our public sessions. We have food and drinks available for purchase in all of our studios.
Can I come to an event without reserving a seat in advance?
Walk-ins are welcome, but we strongly recommend making a reservation online by purchasing seats in advance. If a session is sold out, we will not be able to accommodate your group. If there are available seats, they are first come, first served.
